I've recently set up my new laser engraver and I'm having difficulty with etching bitmaps. Using the default aztec calendar, the job will randomly shift during operation, sometimes hitting against the left stop.
I have had no issues with vector etching.

Try loosening the belt tension with a hex key and that should solve your problems.
